1.International President?s Slogan - ?The best way to predict the future is to create it.? - Peter Drucker. What sort of future lies beyond the gateway? After we pass through it, what will we find? Will the future include a vibrant, forwardthlooking association of Lions clubs? Will the clubs of tomorrow boast new generations of men and women capable of moving service into a new era? No one can say for certain, but I know one thing: we are the shapers of our own destiny. We have the ability and the heritage necessary to invent the future of Lions clubs. Through the innovative resourcefulness of our members, Lions Clubs International will achieve new levels of service around the globe. Innovation is the gateway to our future; let us enter it together and with confidence.

Dr. Tae-Sup Lee

International President, 2003-2004

2.            President?s Message ? To all lions the year 2003th2004 is unique in all aspects. Very brilliant personalities with great vision have taken over positions at different levels of the hierarchy of lionism. Lion Dr. Tae Sup Lee, the International President has given a clarion call ?Innovation, the gateway to the Future?; a fascinating slogan for all of us to follow. A lot of ideas are couched in this slogan. As rightly stated by one of the renowned management thinkers that challenge is the greatest threat faced by all organizations in the modern times! Because change is the only certain thing at present. Unless we cope up with change in the environment we would not be able to sustain ourselves. Any mediocre person can do things in a routine way, but only a visionary can do simple things in a great way.

Lion Sabu Karikkassery MJF, our respected District Governor has given us an enthralling slogan ?Dream with Compassion?. In his own words unless we dream we won?t get good ideas for projects oriented to our humanitarian services. This is nothing but generation of ideas. All inventions of the world came out only on the basis of generation of ideas.

Therefore we should take a fresh look at all programs and activities in lionism. Let us consider lionism as our first and also the most important priority.

Lion Prof. K.J. Panicker

President
